This project showcases the Heroes I designed for the Rifters card game.
 Each faction in the game comes from an Earth of an alternate universe. They were all technically humans but had to represent the drastically different land they belonged to.
It was an exciting opportunity to explore and create the worldbuilding for each faction and build the characters around it.  I investigated different cultures, time periods, and belief systems to give each faction a credible, unique, and relatable identity.
I then designed the heroes to represent this identity and their individuality. 
These are some exploration sketches where I was trying to settle on a style for the art and the color. We ended up going for something more realistic, though I was really fond of the cartoony vibe.
